Last day of class is tommorow. Wow. To think I am half way done my New Media Production and Design program is INSANE-O! To top it off, I have to start looking for work for the summmer. Shouldn't be a problem here in Calgary but still its kind of nerve racking. Especially because I want something in my field. (Lord, give me confidence that you know what I need).
My beloved husband to be is in sunny California this week saoking up some of the mega churches down there and how they run children's programs. I am really thankful he gets time to hang out with and gel with his team, but I do miss him terribly. (God, bring him home safe to me!)
Thanks, Tee for a really needed phone call. I realize you were probably calling for Kari, but I appreciate hearing your voice too! And I really do like your new song....
Keith: Enjoy your job placement and I understand. While I'd love to have you here to celebrate with us, life goes on and there's always a bigger picture eh?
Advice for the day: drink lots of water and do your part to live a little "greener".
Easter.
You know, some years you just kind of feel numb to it all, like it just doesn't sink in -but of course you don't let on to anyone about this unconsious apathy- while everybody else really falls at the cross around you. Maybe you don't get that. Those type of Easters is when you have to remind yourself that faith is so much more than just how you feel. It's a life choice and fact. Kind of like those odd days you don't feel the love for your special someone. Despite the no-warm-fuzzies syndrome, you still *know* you love the guy and choose to.
All that aside, THIS year was amazing. Granted, I was in Preschool and Grade School for three of the four services, but I thank God that Carter was able to go to the last service with me. Just being able to sit in church with him is such a blessing (as he usually is required to be in DiscoveryLand as his job title entails).
It was a great service and the sanctuary was full house. -No joke- and for those of you who have been to First Alliance, you know that the mere sight of that many people in one place praising God can bring you to your knees. The sermon was great too. It was so good to see Carter get spiritually filled as well. Sometimes it's hard when you work at church to come back to the place of a sheep when you're expected to be the shepherd all the time.
I hope you all had as great as Easter as I did. I hope when you spent time with your friends and family, and pigged out on a great spread of food together, that you realize that that very community which you love is possible because of an empty tomb!
Hey hey hey....
Things have changed since I've last been here! Wow. Well, here's my ten second update on lifeness:
Digging into (or being buried by) finals until April 23.
Invitations are out; counting down the days till May 19th.
Carter and I have awesome marriage mentors we meet with
once a week which is such a needed support and
encouragement.
Looks like we might not be able to move into our condo
until as late as July, pending on the installment of the
elevator...what???
God continually provides for our needs despite our lack of
faith sometimes.
This Saturday Carter and I have an all day marriage course at the church. I was really excited about it but now with this animation due date coming up I'm feeling like its just another huge bite out of my time. Thankfully I realize its more like the other way around; equippping myself for a life with the one I love far out trumps any stupid school project. But alas, good grades equals better job equals more security in future life with significant other and....AAAAAAH.
Needless to say your prayer is appreciated.
Does anyone know if I can reply to guestbook comments, or do I only have the capability to delete them? Hmm... don't want that.
*faith is...*
