Bring It....
Haha...wow. God has such a dry sense of humour sometimes. As I focus more on Christ and put more effort into spending more one-on-one with Him in the Bible, all the little things that I had packaged so neatly in my mind regarding the future etc (see my blog on stretch marks) seem to not matter so much. I'm loosening my grip. Scary, but very freeing.
My parents and I had quite the "intense discussion" regarding my housing situation for the fall in Calgary this week. There were parental concerns that seemed to be bubbling into the paranoid and it was driving me insane. That and other "me" issues were plaguing the mind so I escaped to the church one evening and had it out with God. Which was also a very "intense discussion" -aka arguement. I love the fact the God wants my honesty; even my expressions of anger and frustration.
Anyway, since then things have worked out regarding my housing, but alas, I guess God figured he'd throw me another loop. While dad was doing a check on my laptop for viruses etc. he found porn files -at least the names of the files suggested this. Of course he knew I wasn't aware of the apprarent files found, he suspected my roomies must have downloaded the stuff. Not good. Well, this morning while in the shower I realized that I still had files on my laptop from my Ethics class. I had done a study on the effects and treatment or pornography first semester; I had labelled my presentation "porn project". Haha. Soooo, I told God the joke was funny but would appreciate less excitement with my parents. Wow.
Moral of the story kids: Trust God, He knows what He's doing. Don't be too serious in life; learn to laugh with Him.
